Hey you need to see see 911 sycamore
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDuShOO_dSQ
It shows that in Isaiah, after God judged Israel, the govt promised to replace damaged sycamore trees with cedar trees to show defiance.
Guess what, at ground zero, a sycamore related tree was damaged, so the govt said they would do the same thing.
The original person that came out with this was Messianic Rabbi Jonathan Cahn. His message was called "The Harbinger"

John - thanks for your [I consider it to be teaching] on the NT Christian's obligation to tithe. Having been raised in an extremely legalistic setting - I've always wanted to honor the Lord with my finances - yet viewed the tithe as "protection money" against the devourer- and yes, I've "given to get" in the past. In spite of this, I've experienced seasons of tremendous blessing as well as seasons of leanness - which has been the case for the past five years. During this time we've given as we've been able - but not an obligatory 10% -and not to the local church. During this time, we've also been building a new business and we've seen the Lord provide for us supernaturally time after time - this would confuse me because I felt guilty and thought we were "under the curse" - why would God move in our lives and bless us anyway? We're now starting to prosper again as in the past - I can't wait to sow seed as the Spirit directs with the heart motive of honoring the Lord and wanting to be a blessing to others - not out of religious obligation... The law came through Moses but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ... I've also enjoyed your teaching on the Coming Judgment of Islam - thanks!!!

I agree that praise and worship music should be written with the UTMOST care and attention to scriptural relevance and accuracy as possible. It should also lead one into a deep state of worship almost like an emotional experience that happens inside one's soul. However, I think that this post is harshly criticizing Christian Music as a whole. There are MANY genres of "Christian Music", and I would never chastise a secular artist that gets saved and leaves his life of secular music for a purified life of writing music for God. I feel that church worship sessions should indeed stick to the "praise and worship" genre of Christian music, however if you took away all songs that were not simply "worship" songs, you would destroy a medium that is undoubtedly keeping a very large number of people happy by providing a non-destructive alternative to the garbage secular music that bombards them on a daily basis.

Here's my Experience:
I have mixed feelings about both viewpoints presented above (John and Kyle) HOWEVER, I can tell you this with absolute certainty, and personal proof that when I did not tithe, my finances were miserable. When I did start to tithe, I began giving 10% of my gross and it truly feels like the blessings FLOOD my life from miraculous sources and I have above and beyond what I need.

John, Christians are slowly coming to accept the fact that the rapture, the "seven-year tribulation" (never mentioned in the Bible), and the antichrist portrayed as a man with supernatural powers is all man-made fiction which has been exploited by hundreds of unscrupulous ministers and authors in order to make money for themselves---with considerable success, I might add. Christians are very interested in learning about this outer darkness thing, but when it's tied to futurist eschatology, you lose a large part of your audience, as we feel that all the prophecy in the Bible was essentially fulfilled in 70 AD and therefore has no place in straight Biblical theological discussion. I think you have much knowledge regarding the outer darkness and I want to learn more about it, but is there some way you can explain it without introducing an aspect of Christianity as controversial as futurism and prophecy?
