Christian 1:
I am blessed because I pay my tithes to my Church, and therefore, because I do this, I qualify for the blessings of God. On top of that I also give offerings to other ministries so I can help spread the gospel. These things that I do are the reason why I am blessed.
Christian 2:
I am blessed because of what Jesus did. He did what I could not do. If I could have done anything to earn the blessings of God, Jesus wouldn’t have had to come. Jesus fulfilled the entire Law for me, which included even the tithe requirement under the Law. So, I am blessed, but not because of anything I have done. I can take no credit for the blessings that were paid for by Jesus’ finished work. They were freely given to me without any merit on my part, nor can I add anything to what Jesus has already accomplished. The blessings of God are readily available to me at any time I have need, and I walk in them simply by believing this simple truth and nothing more.
Which one of these best reflects the reason why you believe you’re blessed? Oh, by the way, there is no middle ground on this. It’s either one or the other. In an up-coming post I will explain why.

Very thought provoking in the format that you structured this blog in!
I have spent months, no years, studying this out and have come to the same understanding.
When you ask the Lord in prayer to show you what HE wants you to see and know, and then study the word from the beginning as if you have NEVER heard a teaching on it before.(So you don’t come with pre-conceived ideas) That is when He can teach you truth. Try it with all subjects that you study and see what love the Lord has to show you! I am so thankful for His grace, love and compassion which moves us into His perfect will! We Are Truly Blessed!
