Two-State Delusion
[Delusions are irrational beliefs, held with a high level of conviction, that are highly resistant to change even when the delusional person is exposed to forms of proof that contradict the belief.] (as defined by healthline.com)
Here is why it is delusional to believe in a two-state solution. Israel knows it can never surrender its security in exchange for peace. That is suicide. When the Palestinians demand land for peace they know the land “is” Israel security. They really don’t need more land in order to establish a state; they could begin that process immediately if they really wanted to. Why are they so adamant to have Jerusalem as their Capital then? It’s nothing more than a childish jealousy really. When one child sees the other have something, then they want it.
For an agreement to be worth anything at all, both parties must have good reason to trust the motives of the other. Israel has been given zero reasons to trust the motivations behind the “land for peace” agreements. Gaza is the latest proof of that. As soon as Israel forcefully evacuated its’ own people from Jewish settlements in Gaza in 2005, the Palestinians turned around and used that same land as a staging ground to fire rockets into Israel.
The two-state solution is driven by irrational, mistaken beliefs. Does anyone really believe that two peoples with major religious differences, steeped in diametrically opposed world-views and convictions could for even a brief moment in history agree to live side by side in total peace? Well, if peace really was the motivation of both parties maybe it actually could be attainable to some degree of human dignity. However, we all know ulterior motives abound!
I am not saying that a so called, “two-state solution” will not materialize on the political horizon of time (Bible Prophecy indicates it will in some form), but rather, to believe that having two states will be “the solution” is in itself delusional.
Mr.President, please stop your incessant pursuit of dividing God’s land. He can handle this one without you!
Joel 3:2 (New American Standard Bible)
I will gather all the nations And bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat
Then I will enter into judgment with them there
On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel,
Whom they have scattered among the nations;
And they have divided up My land.
